Product Details
As beginner birdwatchers start identifying more species, there’s often a need for a simple, portable reference that lists the most common birds in their region. Early Bird’s pocket guides are designed precisely for this purpose—an ideal introduction to the birds around you.
Each guide features 10 panels of bird illustrations, with species grouped into 5–6 categories based on habitat (e.g., Wetland Birds) or behaviour (e.g., Ground-feeding Birds) for easy reference.
The guides are laminated for durability and fold down to a handy 3.5" x 8.5", making them easy to carry in the field. Each guide showcases approximately 135–140 bird species, including winter migrants and other special highlights such as Western Ghats or endemic species, which are clearly marked.
Language note: The first language listed in the guide title is used for all accompanying text. Bird names are provided in both the first and second listed languages.
Illustrations are reproduced with permission from Birds of the Indian Subcontinent by Richard Grimmett, Carol Inskipp, and Tim Inskipp.
Proceeds from the Western Ghats pocket guide support rainforest restoration efforts in Valparai.
